Our nose is a prominent feature on our face and plays a significant role in how we are perceived. While there are ideal proportions for a nose, there is no one-size-fits-all solution. What is most important is how an individual feels about their nose. Generally, the nose bridge should form a 45° angle with the nose tip and a 135° angle with the forehead. However, there are slight variations in these angles for men and women. Additionally, the angle between the nose and lips should be between 90° to 100°, although this can also vary per individual. For instance, some women may look better with an additional 5° to 10° angle, while men may prefer a more feminine shape.

Alar Reduction
Alar reduction is a surgical procedure that is often recommended for individuals with flat or wide nostrils, an arrowhead nose, or for those who simply want to achieve a different look. However, it is important to note that the amount of narrowing that can be achieved is limited and the doctor's recommendation on this matter is crucial.
The procedure may involve a simple excision and suturing of the wide alars, or a more complex operation where the nostrils are tied and brought together to achieve a sharper tip look. It is important to follow the doctor’s advice when it comes to the width of your nostrils as there is a healthy limit that can be applied.
Simple cases usually result in barely visible scarring, but for more complex cases, individuals with darker skin may experience some scarring. Our doctors will provide all necessary information about the procedure in advance.
The surgery generally lasts between 1 ½ to 2 hours and is performed under general anesthesia. Patients typically stay overnight in the hospital and are required to attend three follow-up appointments: after surgery, before discharge, and after 6 days following the surgery.
We also offer one week of accommodation in Istanbul for our patients. Recovery time varies from 2 to 4 weeks, but full recovery and settling of the surgery may take 6 to 12 months. It is important to adhere to post-surgery instructions to achieve the best results.
Tip correction, also known as tip plasty, is a surgical procedure performed to refine the nose tip, create a more defined appearance, and slightly reduce the width of the nose. The technique used will depend on the complexity of the case, with more complex cases requiring additional support for the tip. In simple cases, the surgeon may only need to adjust the positioning of the nose tip or add a rib cartilage to provide support. In more complex cases, the surgeon may need to tie the tip from inside and graft cartilage from the septum or ear to support the tip. For even more complex cases, a strut may be created from the cartilage sample to provide additional support. The surgery typically takes 30 minutes to 1 hour. General anesthesia is used during the procedure. Patients usually stay overnight in the hospital. We will schedule 3 follow-up appointments: one after the surgery, one before discharge, and one 6 days after the surgery. Patients will be hosted in Istanbul for one week. The appearance of the nose will begin to recover within 2 to 4 weeks. Full recovery and settling of the surgery can take between 6 to 12 months.
Tip Correction
Humps and bumps along the nose can significantly impact facial harmony, particularly when viewed from the sides. To address these cases, we perform an incision inside the nose and use a rasp or shaving technique to remove the humped or bumped area. In some instances, patients may require the hump to be fractured, and cartilage is used to support the tip of the nose to prevent it from drooping.
For severe cases, rib cartilage may be used to support the tip of the nose, preventing it from becoming flat and causing dissatisfaction in the following months. Our doctors will advise on the correct angle that should be maintained to ensure the best results.
The surgery typically lasts for 1 ½ to 2 hours and requires general anesthesia, with an overnight stay in the hospital. Three check-ups will be scheduled: one after the surgery, one before discharge, and one six days after the surgery. Prime Med Tours also provides accommodations in Istanbul for one week. Patients can expect their appearance to recover between 2 and 4 weeks after the surgery, with full recovery and settling of the surgery taking between 6 to 12 months.
Hump Correction
A deviated or crooked nose can lead to various issues such as breathing difficulties, headaches, and frequent nasal congestions. To address this problem, a successful septoplasty procedure can be performed to correct the deviation in the nose bridge. Cartilage is used to correct the deviation, and any minor deviations are smoothed out through rasping. In more complex cases, a small fracture may be created in the crooked area to reposition the bridge. If the crooked area extends towards the nasal tip, a nasal tip correction can also be carried out in conjunction with the aforementioned methods.
The surgery typically lasts between 1 ½ to 2 ½ hours and is performed under general anesthesia. Patients are usually required to stay in the hospital overnight, and three follow-up appointments are scheduled after the surgery, including one prior to discharge and another six days following the procedure. Patients are hosted in Istanbul for one week, and it typically takes between 2 to 4 weeks for the appearance of the nose to fully recover. The final results of the surgery will settle within 6 to 12 months.
